Our Commitment to Provider Partners in Health Care
At Inner Haven, we firmly believe that working with eating disorders is a community effort that includes clients, provider partners in health care treatment, legislators, and families. It’s crucial for us to partner with our valued community members in this journey.
As an Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP), our focus lies in assisting individuals suffering from eating disorders. We offer a comprehensive program for our clients, meeting 3-4 times per week for 3-4 hours each session. In medical terms, the “dosage” of care is between 9-12 hours per week.
Our program offers a step up from traditional outpatient care and provides a more intensive treatment option earlier before someone needs 24/7 care.
We can partner with you to deliver early intervention(s) when you recognize the signs and symptoms of an eating disorder (click here to learn the warning signs of an eating disorder).
Our commitment to provider partners in health care for outpatient referrals is to work with you in the following key ways when you trust us with a referral:
- Education and resources on the signs and symptoms of an eating disorder.
- A free assessment and level of care recommendation.
- A higher level of care when someone in your practice is in need of more intensive services.
- Consistent communication during our admission process and course of treatment.
- A seamless transition at discharge back into your outpatient care.
Our commitment also extends to other provider partners in behavioral health treatment that deliver services at a higher level of care. We aim to be a trusted step down option for clients transitioning from a higher level of care to a lower one.
We are committed to helping clients smoothly step down from round-the-clock care to reintegrate back into their daily lives. Going directly from 24 hours a day of care to only 1-2 hours per week can be quite jarring, and we provide structured support to help individuals adjust more comfortably and confidently to their regular routines.
Our most sincere desire is to empower our clients to lead lives that are meaningful and fulfilling to them, as defined by them.
We know that eating disorders are one of the deadliest mental health illnesses in existence today and that Wisconsin is in desperate need of more providers to meet the needs of our community. We strive to contribute in our own small way, opening treatment centers for the Madison and Neenah communities.
